Central Maine Community College offers National Certification Prep Course for Medical Assistants

The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a Registered Medical Assistant AMT Exam Prep course on Tuesday evenings, October 6 through December 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This course will prepare medical assistants to sit for the RMA National Certification Exam through American Medical Technologists (AMT). Non-credentialed medical assistants who have been working for five years can apply to take the RMA under the "work experience" track, while college students can apply under the "education" track.
This eleven-week course consists of six physical meetings with the remainder of facilitated study to take place on-line. Led by an instructor who is an experienced and certified RMA, the course will cover all that AMT lists for general/administrative/clinical content and more. All students will have an online discussion forum to post questions and comments.
