CMCC to Offer Safety Leadership Certificate
Registration Deadline April 20, 2015
April 3, 2015
The MEMIC Center for Workplace Safety located at Central Maine Community College will host a Safety Leadership Series. This four-part program in leadership will meet from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays, April 24, May 8, May 22 and June 5.
While workplace safety has progressed over recent decades, many employers remain unable to reach a heightened state of safety. This challenge has led to a four-part specialty certificate program in leadership. The program is designed to teach what the best organizations know, the need to integrate workplace safety with business goals and have that effort guided at a key level—the front-line supervisor.
This certificate program is designed to teach ways to integrate safety with business goals and eliminate performance barriers. Participants will develop an action plan to carry out at their workplace and learn to coordinate executive management’s safety goals with front-line supervision. The students will also practice front-line supervisor’s existing managerial skills and attitudes with current learning.
The cost is $199 and includes all materials. This series is open to the public and MEMIC policy holders are eligible for a discount. Registration for this course is open and ongoing.
