CMCC to Host Fall Open House Saturday, October 15

Central Maine Community College (CMCC) will host its annual Fall Open House for prospective students and their families on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at its lakeside campus at 1250 Turner Street in Auburn.
In addition to having all academic programs, student organizations, and athletics represented, staff members and students will be ready to assist with the admissions and financial aid application processes.
Students who complete an admissions application at the open house will have their application fee waived. Refreshments prepared by Culinary Arts students will be served.
The Open House will occur during CMCC’s Alumni Weekend, which will feature a number of athletic events open to the public. Alumni basketball games will be held in the Kirk Hall gym Friday evening, starting with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, women’s and men’s soccer games vs. the College of St. Joseph’s will be held on campus at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. respectively. And the inaugural game for the CMCC hockey team will get underway at 3:00 p.m. at the Norway Savings Bank Arena. The Mustangs will be taking on Dartmouth College in two games, with the second match on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
CMCC offers 41 degree programs and certificates that prepare graduates for immediate employment or to transfer to a four-year institution. In addition to on-campus housing and a large number of student clubs and activities, the College offers competitive athletic teams: Varsity and JV basketball, soccer, softball, and cross-country for women; varsity and JV basketball, baseball, soccer, cross-country, and ice hockey for men.
