Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Offered Spring 2015

The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College is offering two sections of the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. The first is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 and the second offering will be Friday, May 15. Both sections will run from 8:00 a.m. noon.
This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the following basic skills: adult and pediatric CPR, use of the bag-valve mask, airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation (with child AED update), stroke and cardiac arrest and other special resuscitation situations.
Each of these single-morning courses is open to the public and intended for healthcare workers at all levels. Also welcome are those whose work brings them into contact with members of the public such as school, hotel, fitness center and restaurant employees. Registration for this course is open and ongoing, but space is limited. The cost of is $79 and includes all materials.
