November 2, 2015
The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “Advanced Excel: Functions and Data Analysis” on Thursday, November 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
One of the most desired office skills today is knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel. This one day, hands-on course covers the basics of building custom, nested, and 3D formulas; how to use powerful Excel functions such as IF, AND, OR, and VLOOKUP to create “smart” spreadsheets; how to create and use named ranges; and how to use Excel’s table function to manage lists. Students will also learn how to analyze and extract custom information using the SUMIF, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, DGET, and DSUM functions, along with pivot tables. Participants will also learn how to create dynamic charts from raw spreadsheet data. The cost is $139.00 and includes all materials.
This course is designed for those with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2010. While participants will use Microsoft 2010 in this course the skills can be transferred to several versions of the software.
