Advanced Excel Course Offered

The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “Advanced Excel: Functions and Data Analysis” on Friday, February 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

One of the most highly sought office skill today is knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel. This one-day, hands-on course teaches the basics of building custom, nested, and 3D formulas; how to use powerful Excel functions such as IF, AND, OR, and VLOOKUP to create “smart” spreadsheets; how to create and use named ranges; and how to use Excel’s table function to manage lists. Participants will learn how to analyze and extract custom information using pivot tables and the SUMIF, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, DGET, and DSUM functions. The course will also cover how to create dynamic charts from raw spreadsheet data.
The cost is $139.00 and includes all materials. Participants should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2010 before they take the course.
